JUVÉDERM® XC

Young, healthy-looking skin contains an abundance of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). But as you age, sunlight and other factors can reduce the amount of HA in your skin. The lack of HA causes your skin to lose structure and volume, creating unwanted facial wrinkles and folds - like those parentheses lines around your nose and mouth. Using a dermal filler like JUVÉDERM® XC is a safe and effective way to replace the HA your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds. JUVÉDERM® XC is manufactured using HYLACROSS™ technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel. It is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. JUVÉDERM® XC is the smooth gel filler that your doctor uses to instantly smooth away wrinkles around your mouth and nose. With just one treatment, you’ll get smooth and natural-looking results that last up to a year.

Everyone’s skin ages differently and JUVÉDERM® XC may be used to rejuvenate multiple problem areas. From smile lines to vertical lip lines, you can smooth away unwanted wrinkles and restore natural contours. One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to wrinkle treatment. A customized treatment plan is important for achieving the best results.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC

When it comes to enhancing the cheeks, a little volume goes a long way. Thin, tired skin can speak volumes about a person's age. Signs of aging like sunken cheeks can add years to a person's face. These telltale signs of aging can now be addressed with JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA™.

Full cheeks are a key marker of youth. Age-related volume loss can cause the face to lose definition, balance and change shape, all of which can make a person appear older than their years. People age differently: their skin may deflate (lose fullness or volume), descend (droop or sag) or both. However, few people realize the mid-face is one of the first areas to show the signs of aging – as we lose facial volume, cheeks deflate and descend.

Addressing the need is JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA™, the newest facial filler available in the JUVÉDERM® family of hyaluronic acid fillers. The first of its kind, JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA™ is a hyaluronic acid facial filler specifically made to restore age-related volume loss in the mid-face (the cheeks and cheekbones). JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA™ uses hyaluronic acid, a sugar that occurs naturally in your skin, to instantly restore lost facial volume in the cheeks. JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA™ also combines with collagen and elastin to improve skin structure and elasticity, and create a smooth natural look.

RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler

Aging is a part of life, and as the years pass, the less vibrant, refreshed and youthful the skin may begin to look. In youthful skin, there is an abundance of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid which give it volume, support and suppleness. As a part of the aging process, these natural support structures become less plentiful. The result is facial lines, wrinkles and skin laxity - all of which rob the skin of its youthful, fresh appearance.

The best solution for erasing lines and folds is to replace lost structure with immediate volume. RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler works immediately so the results are instant. It is the only wrinkle filler that immediately replenishes lost volume and stimulates the production of your own natural collagen for long-lasting results

RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler can be injected in the following locations:

  • Smile lines: also called the nasolabial folds, are the lines that run from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
  • Marionette lines: the lines that run downward from the corners of the mouth.
  • Corners of the mouth: also called the oral commissure, if these are turned downward it can make you look as though you're frowning.
  • Pre-jowl: the area on either side of the chin, where skin can sag due to loss of facial volume.
  • Chin wrinkles: horizontal lines that can form on your chin and distract from your smile.

Once injected, RADIESSE Volumizing® Filler adds the volume and lift needed to diminish the signs of aging. What makes RADIESSE® truly unique is the ability of the product to act as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen to grow. The production of natural collagen continues for several months, which extends beyond the initial effect of RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler. Best of all, the natural results are clinically proven to last a year or more in many patients, which means more value from each treatment and long-lasting results.

Wrinkle treatments with RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler are quick and convenient, with immediately visible, long-lasting results. RADIESSE patients are significantly more satisfied than patients treated with other leading wrinkle fillers

BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler

BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. The versatility of the product makes it strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth), yet soft enough to treat more delicate areas such as vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above the lip line).

Bellafill®

Bellafill® is a unique, injectable collagen filler with microspheres that can instantly smooth facial wrinkles (nasolabial folds) for beautiful, natural-looking correction that lasts. The collagen in Bellafill® provides immediate volume and lift while the PMMA microspheres remain in place and create a matrix that supports collagen production in your skin for lasting improvement. In the world of injectables, Bellafill® is distinctive. The collagen immediately adds volume to the skin to lift wrinkles known as smile lines. The PMMA microspheres create a matrix that supports your body’s own collagen production.

Bellafill® requires a skin test to identify patients who may be allergic to the lidocaine or bovine collagen in Bellafill®.

As a Bellafill® patient, you are unique—with your own distinctive facial structure, skin condition, wrinkle development, and expectations for the ideal correction. Your licensed provider can help you choose the right amount of correction to achieve the younger look you want.

You can return to normal activities right away. As with any injectable dermal filler, you may experience temporary swelling, redness, pain, bruising, lumps/bumps, itching, and discoloration at the treatment site. These side effects are usually transient and typically resolve within 1–7 days.

BOTOX®

“Being a physician in the cosmetic and dermatology field for all these years, I’ve seen so many products come and go, but Botox® has got that STAYING POWER because it works so well!”– Dr. Boutté

Here at Boutte’ Contour Surgery & Skin located just outside of metro Atlanta, owner and founder, Dr. Boutté, prides herself on offering the most effective anti-aging products on the market. Since Botox® has been approved for cosmetic use in 2002, by the FDA, it has been a popular minimally invasive procedure serving as a staple in the skincare industry. It is best known for its ability to minimize the appearance of unwanted wrinkles such as frown lines, crow’s feet, and neck bands, revitalizing a more youthful appearance.

botox

Botox® treatments are different from fillers in that the Botox® solution is injected directly into the muscle group, while dermal fillers such as Juvéderm®, Radiesse®, Voluma®, Belotoro® and Bellafill® are injected directly into the creases and wrinkles. The main ingredient in Botox®, botulinum toxin A, is used to temporarily paralyze the muscle to keep it from contracting. The basic theory of this anti-aging treatment is this – if you can’t move a certain muscle, the skin around it cannot wrinkle.

Botox® injections are purified neurotoxins that are used to treat wrinkles, crow’s feet, smile lines and loose hanging skin around that jowls and neck. These purified neurotoxins block the signals the brain sends to the body to contract muscles. With Botox® specifically, the neurotoxin solution provides a smoother more youthful appearance by diminishing deep wrinkles and fine lines created by repetitive facial movements by blocking nerve impulse to the affected muscle and reducing, not eliminating, muscle activity.

The most common areas treated are areas of the upper face: between the eyebrows, forehead and crow’s feet around the eyes. Botox® can also be used to smooth out unwanted lines on the mid-face and lower face, and neck, as well as lines on the sides of the nose, vertical lip lines and muscle bands of the neck. The onset of treatment is 48-72 hours and may continue to take a stronger effect for one to two weeks. Botox® lasts for approximately 3-4-months and muscle activity will return to normal once the Botox® is completely worn off.

Before your Botox® treatment, the injection sites are thoroughly cleansed. With the use of a very short and thin syringe, the neurotoxin solution is injected directly into the muscle. Depending on the affected areas and desired results, multiple injections may be needed. Since the needles are so thin, the pain is minimal and no anesthetic is needed.

“I would definitely recommend Botox® to anyone looking for wrinkle management treatment that lasts and provides the results you’re after. Some of my patients couple Botox® injections with dermal fillers, and the results are fantastic! For someone who has deep smile lines, crow’s feet around the eyes or frown creases between the brows, Botox® is an ideal option to consider,” Boutté suggests.

The cost of your Botox® treatment will vary greatly due to a number of variables that include the size and location of the treatment areas you and Dr. Boutté discuss during your consultation.

BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults for a short period of time (temporary).

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into the area around the side of the eyes to improve the look of moderate to severe crow's feet lines in adults for a short period of time (temporary).

BOTOX® Cosmetic is administered by a healthcare professional as a simple, nonsurgical treatment that is injected directly into the muscles between the brows. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form between the brows.

BOTOX® Cosmetic for Men

BOTOX® Cosmetic is certainly not just for women. If you are a man and think it's time to do something about those moderate to severe glabellar lines between your brows, talk to your doctor about whether BOTOX® Cosmetic is right for you.

Chemical Peels

A chemical peel uses a chemical solution to smooth the texture of your skin by removing the damaged outer layers. Although chemical peels are used mostly on the face, they can also be used to improve the skin on your neck and hands. A chemical peel is one of the least invasive ways to improve the appearance of your skin. Sun exposure, acne, or just getting older can leave your skin tone uneven, wrinkled, spotted or scarred.

A chemical peel can help improve:

  • Acne or acne scars
  • Age and liver spots
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Freckles
  • Irregular skin pigmentation
  • Rough skin and scaly patches
  • Scars
  • Sun-damaged skin

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion treatments use a minimally abrasive instrument to gently sand your skin, removing the thicker, uneven outer layer.

Microdermabrasion can:

  • Improve age spots and black heads.
  • Improve hyperpigmentation (patches of darkened skin).
  • Exfoliate your skin, resulting in a refreshed appearance.
  • Lessen the appearance of stretch marks.
  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Reduce or eliminate enlarged pores.
  • Treat acne and the scars left by acne.

Facials – Medical Grade

Our medical facials include exfoliation, deep pore cleansing, lymphatic drainage massage to increase lymph flow, and uses an electric current and ultrasound waves to deliver the product safely into the skin. We use only medical grade skin care products, so that the result achieved is a hydrated, rejuvenated, youthful looking skin. Our medical facials usually work in combination with other treatment protocols to enhance the outcome.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a non-invasive technique that uses highly concentrated light to penetrate hair follicles. The intense heat of the laser damages the hair follicle to inhibit future hair growth. Laser hair removal is effective for most parts of the body.

Because laser hair removal only affects actively growing hair follicles, it may take several laser hair removal treatments to provide significant hair reduction. Additionally, while laser hair removal effectively slows hair growth, it doesn’t guarantee permanent hair removal. Periodic maintenance treatments may be needed.

Thermage

Thermage is a proven, unique radiofrequency treatment that can help improve the appearance of sagging or loose skin, giving you a smoother, sleeker and younger look and feel. Thermage works in just one treatment with little down time and delivers a natural looking result. It’s you, just younger looking and more confident. Thermage treatments are typically 45 minutes for eyes or face and up to 90 minutes for larger body areas. One treatment is all you will need to see and feel real results. Most patients can see and feel Thermage results very soon after treatment – in as little as one day. Continued improvements and contouring can happen for up to six months as your body regenerates collagen.

Fat Transfer to Face & Eyelids

The terms Fat Transfer, Fat Injections, Autologous Fat Transfer, and Fat Grafting all refer to the process of taking fat from an unwanted area (or areas) of your body and re-injecting purified adipose fat tissues into another area (or areas) of your body. The goal of any fat transfer procedure is to add fullness to the area which receives the fat grafts. Fat injections are commonly made to the face, lips, buttocks or hands. With the face, fat can be transferred to the cheeks, nasolabial folds, jawline, and the lower eye area.

Fat transferred from other areas of your body to your face will not only give some lifting to the general facial structure, but also improve the look of your skin. Patients seeking a fat transfer for facial rejuvenation often present these symptoms:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Crow’s feet
  • Under eye bags or dark circles
  • Worry and/or frown lines
  • 'Sunken' cheeks
  • Tired look

As we age, the dermis under our skin thins out, which can leave the face looking thin and has the effect of making the skin look like it sags. This happens to women of all body types: small frame, medium frame, large frame. A facial fat transfer adds fat to the area beneath the skin, and has the effect of 'filling out the face' to a more youthful state. In addition to filling out wrinkles in the face, highly purified fat injections also enhance the blood circulation in the tissues.

Fraxel® Laser Treatment

Fraxel® Laser Treatment improves your appearance by affecting only a fraction of your skin at a time with thousands of tiny microscopic laser spots.

Fraxel® Laser Treatment produces thousands of tiny but deep columns of treatment in your skin, known as microscopic treatment zones. This treatment penetrates deep into the dermis to eliminate old epidermal pigmented cells. Just as important, though, are the areas of skin the Fraxel® laser leaves untouched. For every microscopic zone the laser targets and treats intensively, it leaves the surrounding tissue unaffected and intact. This “fractional” treatment allows the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area were treated at once, using the body’s natural healing process to create new, healthy tighter tissue to replace skin imperfections.

New epidermal skin develops within 24 hours. The process of skin repair involves:

  • Bronzing: Your skin will have a bronze appearance that lasts anywhere from 3 to 14 days, depending on your treatment level.
  • Flaking: Your skin will naturally and vigorously exfoliate as new skin replaces dead tissue. Flaking is similar to that of minor sunburn, but without the associated pain. Use of a moisturizer will mask the appearance of flaking.
  • Sunscreen: Be sure to use sunscreen at least twice daily to protect your skin from sun exposure during both the healing phase and for several months after treatment. Apply a moisturizing, broad spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. For added protection, use wide-brimmed hats when in direct sunlight.

Over the following weeks and months, the body repairs the deeper dermal tissues that have been affected by the Fraxel® treatment, producing longer beneficial changes associated with a healthy, youthful appearance.

Micro-Needling

Also referred to as collagen induction therapy (CTI), micro-needling is a revolutionary treatment in cosmetic dermatology used to remedy the appearance of lines, wrinkles and scars. Micro-needling uses tiny needles to precisely poke small holes into the surface of the skin. These tiny “injuries” are made to stimulate collagen and elastin growth. Once the skin heals and repairs itself, wrinkles and fine lines will look softer and less noticeable. Likewise, topical medications will be able to penetrate further into the epidermal layer of skin and have a stronger effect.

Eclipse MicroPen is the most advanced medical-grade automated micro-needling device on the market. We proudly use the Eclipse MicroPen™ for micro-needling treatments! We will fasten a sterile, 12-micro-needle tip onto the MicroPen and cover your skin with a thin layer of topical gel. The MicroPen will be adjusted to whichever setting is appropriate for your particular case. The MicroPen will then be pressed onto your skin, gliding across in one single motion, while creating the tiny holes.

After the procedure, the skin will usually have a bright redness to it. Each patient’s healing time will depend on the MicroPen’s setting and how many times the area was passed over. Typically, the skin is red for 2 to 4 days, but patients can heal as quickly as 24 hours.

Micro-needling with the Eclipse MicroPen can benefit many types of skin that are afflicted with a variety of problems. Fine lines and wrinkles will appear less noticeable, and skin will look younger and refreshed. Skin that has acne scars, hyper-pigmentation, hypo-pigmentation and stretch marks can also benefit from micro-needling. Also, any topical medications will be able to penetrate further into the epidermal layer of skin and have a stronger effect.

The benefits of Micro-Needling are a reduction in the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, younger-looking skin with fewer signs of aging. Eclipse MicroPen also has a positive effect on hyperpigmentation as well as on acne scars, and generally creates a fresher appearance or glow to the skin.
